SRX9901665: RNAseq on Trinidad Haemagogus mosquitoes

Design: RNA was extracted using Trizol LS according to manufacturer's instructions from Haemagogus mosquito pools collected from location site and sent to Novogene Inc for sequencing.RNA-SeqcDNA library) pipeline, The Ribo-ZeroTM Magnetic kit (Illumina Inc.) was used to deplete the ribosomal RNA. Libraries were sequenced from both ends (150 bp) and the lncRNA pipeline was used to extract 150 bp paired end reads into FASTQ files.

Haemagogus species are poorly characterized mosquitoes with little data available on their viral transmission dynamics. Here we used a transcriptomic-based approach to map the RNA virome of field caught Haemagogus mosquitoes from twelve forested regions in Trinidad, West Indies.
